What should I name my dog?

So I'm getting a dog tomorrow-ish.

 

He's a 9 week old beagle and he's being given to me by a family friend.

 

As the title suggests, what should I name him?

 

Preferably something military-like since I plan on teaching him things like "stand fast" instead of just the plain old ordinary "sit and stay" (tried and worked on one of my previous dogs but alas, he's not with us anymore:()

 

I've also been inspired by the name given to a German Shepherd in Band of Brothers - "trigger".

 

Any ideas?

On the topic of shiny auscam...

the sound they made while bush walking made it seem like I was doing mean things to little furry animals inside my pants :p

    beagles have an awesome sense of smell. often used in airports as sniffers...so... i reckon you ought to train him to find stuff you lost, like socks, usb keys, and reciepts...

     

    god knows that what id do. Beagles are great dogs. make sure you looks after him/her. plenty of walks, good food and love...

    golden lab is charlie (she's 5)

    Long Tan (assuming he's tan coloured)

    Field Marshall .... (whatever colour he is) - although you won't be able to order him around....
