There was a really interesting documentary tonight on SBS

It starts (and ends) in Korengal Valley - now I have more respect for the PR

mappers as their efforts weren't too shy of the reality.

 

The documentary is fascinating and shows you just how complex

Afghanistan and particularly - the Tribal areas of Pakistan are.

It demonstrates how the Tribal insurgency in Waziristan is

a problem that the ISI (Pakistani Intelligence) all but created

(if not certainly nurtured) and how this is coming back to bite them

on the ass...

 

worth a watch if you are interested in this stuff...

with some sound military assessments/analysis of the insurgency -

also - Korengal Valley is a (very) real, (very) dangerous place in NE Afghanistan.

Ya was good, I dont like listening to political BS but this wasnt to bad and it was good to see a few mins of on the ground real life footage of the action.

And yeah sucks to destroy your own vehicle caz it got stuck on the road..

My dad was watching this, I caught maybe 5 mins of it. Was pretty damned good from what I saw.

Just watched all 6 eps and i found that really interesting, a good watch.
