Hey guys just a quick poll about the above mentioned.

Why well I was under the impression based on hearsay that Vista utilises all 4g of ram... And you say?

32 bit XP shows 3.25g with SP3 as does 64 bit but 32 bit Vista shows 4g but only utilises 3.25 like XP , only 64 bit Vista apparently uses the full 4g, all the others allocate the spare mem to resources..

Apparently. Anyone clarify this and does BF2/PR run on 64 bit?

Vista 64bit runs perfectly, it's what I'm using. Only real problems I've had is that the BF2 export tools don't work on 64bit 3ds Max, going to have to install the 32bit version, but I doubt that would apply to you. Apart from that, everything runs perfectly. If you have some compatibility issues, it's usually fixed by running the program in XP mode or by some quick googling for a workaround/hotfix.

short answer, yes and yes.

There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.

I have been on Vista 64 for over a year, and playing PR the whole time, as well as most other current FPS games. ARMA was the only game that was having some Vista 64 problems, but they fixed it with a patch early in the spring or summer, and runs great now.

Tons of new computer makers like Gateway and Toshiba are selling with Vista 64 from the factory now. I got a new laptop for my wife that came with 4 gigs and Vista 64, and she has no clue of the difference, so that speaks a lot for how ready for mainstream it is.
