What control settings do you have your helicopter flight controls at?

Mouse Sensitivity, Yaw Factor and Pitch Factor.

I've mucked around with mine so much I can barely control my chopper

Any tips on good flight control?

havn't played with any of those settings. just sorted it so my j/stick works it, fly like a drunk tho when in game but when i'm training, smooth as silk! bites big time that!
There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.

Make a private server and fly around, TRY to lose control of your chopper then regain control of it, leave it as it is when you have defaults. Flying with a joystick takes getting used to. Just because you have a joystick doesnt mean your going to be good straight away. I know when I first got mine way back I preffered using a keyboard, but over time you get used to it like anything else and become accustomed to it.

When your in a full server the pressure is on you and so you might have to get used to flying with that on your shoulders too, but first things first get the hang of the basics. DONT expect to be awsome straight away, and dont change your settings every time you crash, just keep playing with what youve got until youve mastered them.

Ryza has it pretty much pinned. A joystick gives much more control in choppers I feel.

mouse FTW!!!

Yaw full, pitch 1/2 and sense at 1.3 work well for me. joysticks dont seem to respond fast enough for me so i stick to the basics. what it ultimately comes down too, is like ryza said - personal preference. training works well for learning what works.

start out and observe what it is that you need, if you need the tail to swing more/less, the nose to come up/down faster/slower and sensitivity.

good luck

Mouse and Keyboard on default!

Pysrus' training server's up if you want to have a go on that. Password is "booked". It's named something along the lines of Australian Training Server

On the topic of shiny auscam...

the sound they made while bush walking made it seem like I was doing mean things to little furry animals inside my pants :p
I use mouse & keyboard.

I just finished a round with a 48:0 KDR. w00t :D

That was so BS...We had 3 technicals firing at you, hunting you down, and didnt even get you smoking.

Unfortunately I haven't, if you want to jump in with me next time I'm flying you can watch me in action. I can talk you through what I'm doing if we're in the same squad.

It's really about suppressing the people shooting at you (or shooting them, as I was doing to you!) in a straffing run, then getting behind cover as quicly as possible (whether that be natural geography, buildings, or purely range).

I don't think I've even got my helicopter badge yet :(
