Posted September 26, 200816 yr I don‘t know if it is just me or has team play gone out the window with the latest version of PR? I have been playing PR for some time and I have never been so disappointed as I am now. Deliberate team killing. People single crewing APC’s, Tanks, Trucks, etc. People who only use trucks, etc for “THERE” squad only. People flying choppers by themselves, crashing them and then doing it again. People who join your squad and then don’t communicate, get their kit and go off and do their own thing. What the F** is going on? I have never team killed or bitched on the forums but I am pretty pissed at the moment thinking about not playing on BigD anymore if this kind of play continues. Edited September 26, 200816 yr by cm.
September 26, 200816 yr If you are having difficulty with another player on a BigD managed server, please refer to this thread; http://www.bigdgaming.net/showthread.php?t=1705 We need your help to keep BigD 'tard free. Generally speaking, people on our servers are well behaved. Also, our admin crew (without speaking of myself) are highly responsive to player requests. We play there too and don't want that kind of behaviour any more than you do. Keep on at it mate, get to know forum regulars and join their squads, you're almost guaranteed a better PR experience. September 26, 200816 yr Lots of new players have come to try PR as they always do after a new release. It's called "the great coming of the noobs" It will die down soon enough, meanwhile try to educate some of them, try and be friendly and helpful (yes I know it's hard) you'll probably end up surprised as some of the "unhelpful" players will end up becoming teamwork orientated players one day. Chin up, it will get better soon There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. September 26, 200816 yr School holidays Yeah, I just realised that today as well. It would explain fools road tonight lol Vietnam and Kansas, trench war and silent premonitions. Preaching the end time message.
September 26, 200816 yr Deliberate team killing. if yor reffering to fools road... sort of like a force t/k of walking in front of a truck then punishing 2 minutes later when you bled out? not called for. my squad had to wait over 10 minutes for a lift while i ran around chasing 2 other squads and their members. then the accusations i was only there for my squad just burns my piss. just take 2 steps back and have a look at what actually went on there mate, thats all i'll say. Evil Shenanigans!
September 26, 200816 yr Fools road - yep there was a fair bit of "shooting up the sky" happening there at times.. Hey.. If we get a some additional regulars it's worth some "tard"iness for a bit. Edited September 26, 200816 yr by BAND+A1D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
September 26, 200816 yr ive had this happen to me alot, i had somebody driving my apc, then when we come to the flag he hopped out went to the rally and got a marksmen kit, then i got really annoyed and just single crewed for the rest of the game cause no one wanted to crew me
September 26, 200816 yr I'm getting a little tired of being shot at as a way of attracting my attention as medic.... Simple rule is to have at least one medic in your squad whom you're able to communicate with.... You can't rely on other squads medics to patch you up - they may have been given other orders by their sql http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
September 26, 200816 yr thats all very well noddy , but if youre a medic and someone on your side needs a hand , and your able and capable , help them out . thats like someone letting the enemy shoot you dead when they could of stopped it just because your'e not in their squad . [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
September 26, 200816 yr absolutely..don't get me wrong.... but the fact I might be distracted accomplishing my squads objectives or running to a fallen squad mate and I might miss the request for a medic from another team member doesn't mean they have the right to shoot at me. http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
September 26, 200816 yr Where has the teamplay gone? You spelt Slavak wrong, and to answer your question I'm capped till the 29th. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ee/US_Army_E-2.svg/50px-US_Army_E-2.svg.png http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4927/awardslf0.png
September 26, 200816 yr Yeah the influx of knobs oops I mean noobs on the weekend and in general is due to the new release, grin and bare it fella's not much we can do but try and edumacate the foo's http://matt.itsthemadhouse.com/na/sigs/na-sig-gruanch5.png http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/bulletmagnet.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/gren.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/ocrs.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamaserv.jpg
September 27, 200816 yr well i played last night late after fools road.... i think i joined after that map jus finished.... and i havent played for a week now and i was rather pissed off with the behavour of ppl on the server a that time. i wont name names but they who they are. on Jabal the mec team were down to there last flag so an american apc decided to sit on the hill behind the base and watch the mec appear out of thin air as they spawned and kill them before they could move! now under rules camping is not allowed a main base or any form of spawn point as i understand it. but saying that, i know the flag was our last but does that give them the right to sit back for a good 5 - 10mins jus raping our base with no attempt to cap. it may have been acceptable if our base was crawling with usmc troops bu when the apc showed up there were no troops. so he was not supporting any troops he was jus raping! September 27, 200816 yr If the flag can be capped then the rules state it's ok to attack it. There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. September 27, 200816 yr yeah but good form dictates that the team should move in and cap ... camp is ghey Edited September 27, 200816 yr by Sapper28 http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
September 27, 200816 yr LOl I find this thread funny. Teamplay just at squad level sucks balls, let along a entire side. For nights now I just kick who ever it is decides to go off by themselves and not stick to the squads plan. Also I have noticed since 0.8 that getting a commander is like winning the lotto. People making squads but then leaving and rejoining cause they don't want to leed. Now on Jabal the mec team were down to there last flag so an american apc decided to sit on the hill behind the base and watch the mec appear out of thin air as they spawned and kill them before they could move! now under rules camping is not allowed a main base or any form of spawn point as i understand it. but saying that, i know the flag was our last but does that give them the right to sit back for a good 5 - 10mins jus raping our base with no attempt to cap. it may have been acceptable if our base was crawling with usmc troops bu when the apc showed up there were no troops. so he was not supporting any troops he was jus raping! I wasn't there but IMO the APC was doing the smart thing in keeping the mec contained until such help from ground forces arived. If the APC went in how long would it of lasted? or If it had left how far out and what kind of a defence could you have created? <!-- / message --><!-- sig --> http://img399.imageshack.us/img399/7616/doomeuv7.jpg[/url] Proudly Sponsored by Gaming SA
September 27, 200816 yr i think i agree with trip, often on maps with armor and when the last flag is cappable, tanks just sit on the hills and camp. On qinling yesterday not one person moved on the flag and they had 2 tanks and a jet camping our main. I think that if you can cap and you have some armor up there move in the armor and the inf spotting for them and cap
September 27, 200816 yr Author I forgot about stumbling about bleeding out calling out for help from the medic that is nearby only to be ignored. Ok, so you make your way to the medic calling out for help and he runs away. What the? Oh yes, FU for not having your own squad member medic nearby. Helpful hints… <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p> When someone jumps down next to you when you are a medic spend the few extra seconds healing them. Your time is being used more efficiently as you can heal more than one person at a time and in a safe position. Running around ignoring other team members may help your squad stats but is not helpful to the team winning the game. When driving a truck or APC with empty seats it is your duty to pick up other team members especially when they are calling out for a lift. When you drop crates from a truck and the squad wanting a lift helps you build a fire base it would be a good idea to at least give them a lift to a base where there is transport. Since that is where you are going anyway. When you pass back through the same area a few minutes latter with only one person in the truck, and a squad is the middle of the road repeatedly asking for a lift. DON’T run them down. Sometimes when entering into a hostile area squad members will be dropped off to put down a rally. When they do this and the truck driver leaves even when everyone is calling for him to stop is not good form. I don’t normally lock my squads as I enjoy playing with new players who want to play the game. If you join a squad and don’t intend to work as a team member and want to do your own thing at least make your intentions clear. Don’t drive tanks or apc’s by yourself. Due to the long wait to get the gun working you will get smashed and loose a vital asset for the team. You are better off calling for a squad member to help and waiting or give your kit to the two other team members waiting by who can operate it properly. If you are flying a huey and dropping off players learn to fly first and also drop off supplies when asked to do so. Work as a team member as well as a squad member and buy a headset with a microphone!!!Anyhow that is all I am going to say on this matter. I hope that this thread lets the new players know what is good form and what really pisses off other players.
September 27, 200816 yr As for the medic issue, yes, it pretty much is "F U for not having a medic in your section". No way Im risking my neck to heal some blue guy crying and shooting at me if my section buddies need it first. If I can, sure, not a problem. But no way am i resking my neck for him. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
September 27, 200816 yr Author That is the response that I expect from people who lock there squads and play only for themselves and have there own agenda. That is as bad a going your own way when in a squad. That is not in the intrest of the team on the big servers. That is like saying "because you don't have a pilot in your squad then FU when you need an airlift" If that is your atitude then stick to the small server and don't stuff it up for the players who want to play as a TEAM!! BTW .. I don't agree in shooting at other players to get there attention. But I can understand people doing it when you have a FU atitude and ignore there polite call for help. Edited September 27, 200816 yr by YourHumbleNarrator
September 27, 200816 yr you cant possibly compare a pilot to a medic in terms of services... a medic is ment for a squad role... a pilot for the entire team... each medic should have a medic, its that simple. i go medic alot and if there is a bleeding blue guy across a road thats being pinned im sure as hell aint going to risk my neck for him... think of it this way... you go across and try and help and get gunned down... now wat about your squad? they are now with out a medic in the middle of a gunfight.... a medic is a squad deep service... they are there to serve the SQUAD not the entire team, hence why each squad should have one or two medics. but by all means kif its safe and easy to help out at the time ill go every time (unless ordered otherwise) but you do have to think about your squad first, that is who you serve formost while in battle... http://i.imgur.com/TLiDl.png
September 27, 200816 yr Not sure if your having a go at players that lock their squads dog_bro but i think (and in my case this is true) players lock squads mostly because of exactly what your talking about - to hand pick players that they know will try to work as a team. As I've said before PR can be great or horrible and for me it all depends on who I play with, not because I want to play with people I like but because PR just doesn't work if you have players in your squad who won't listen and who do their own thing. There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Quoted for truth. I have had awesome games when the squad I have been in is quality. I have had awful games when I am running around with no squad work or the squad is just fail and doesn't listen. If you stick together, use voip, LISTEN, even if you are losing hard or whatever, you will have a decent game. Don't do any one of those 3 things, you will have a crap game. http://www.ancientdev.com/images/devsig.png
