yeah is pretty dodgy. Had a look at the site for it (RA3 that is), units look like a cross between the original RA and Tiberium Wars which doesn't really seem like a good thing to me. Like the WWII style of the original myself (granted they DID have Hind gunships etc).

Any good? Love my rtss, just finishing off Dark Crusade atm (need to get Soul Storm next), then will be going onto Tiberium Wars or SC to finish the campaigns there.

funny its posted by ea, ive always wondered why they have had an obsession with bad acting and trying to make story lines into there games with real life actors.. Altho the chicks are usually always hot, its just sorta lame.

 

For me, red alert died after RA1 in 1995. I rate it as the best C&C game ever. And have never bought another one since as they all let me down, the game went in the wrong direction for me. I just want them to make a revised v2 of RA1 simply update the graphics, maybe add some more units in the same time era and make it compatible for vista 64 etc

C&C died for me when Westwood was disbanded by EA. General/C&C3 and RA3 are all a steaming pile of dog crap. Nothing but EA trying to cash in on the name.

I know its free but it doesnt work on vista 64 and it doesnt support high resolutions, which is why id love a remake of the same simple concept which relies on strategy not masses of different types of futuristic units.

I grew up with Tiberian Sun, Dune, Red alert and red alert 2. When EA destroyed westwood it destroyed one the greatest rts makers of all time.

 

If you people have not started to see EA's trend, they make a mockery of the actual game series itself for a quick cash reel in simply for the title of the game itself. I bought CNC 3 expecting something half as good as the original and I was done with it in a few weeks.

 

Im waiting eagerly for Starcraft 2 to come out, at least Blizzard make good games, make them their way and dont let some rich publisher destroy a generation of games.
