I was JUST about to post this up, great to see some stories from the guys n girls over there putting their lives on the line. One of my mates was a chook pilot in the first rotation they went over. Said it was very hairy and surreal.

Applied for Reserve Rifleman last Thursday, just got the application forms today. Hopefully I will be joining them in a few years

Some of the chocos from my town have been to Solomon islands and Timor, but yeah i doubt you'd get a posting to Afghanistan, especially with the rudd government in power.

If I pass all the requierments, I will do the requiered amount of years till im aloud to transfer to regular. I was aware of the positions with the regs and choco's.
