Posted September 6, 200816 yr was a pretty random but good veiw today over my towns bay, no clouds in the sky no wind next minute 2 "AH-60L Battle Hawk's" *think thats right* flew over @ about 450 meter high, later over the beach another 3 in formation flew passed i assume they came from melbourne to hobart. was a good watch if ya ask me... wish i had my camera [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
September 7, 200816 yr On Fraser Island a couple months back driving on the beach we got buzzed by a dirty smoky f1-11 going flat out parallel to the beach. When i told our 4wd hire dude he said they do it several times a week to scare the backpackers. Was awesome to see

September 7, 200816 yr Closest I have been was when I was snowboarding in Victoria and I was just waiting at the top of the lift for my friend and these two F-111's come screaming through the hills about 200m-400m past me! the noise echoing off the hills was crazy, they were so close I could see the black visor on the pilots helmet. September 7, 200816 yr i seen the new euro tiger attack choppers. 2 of em were at the ACT summernats.... but i use to work at this place right under the flight path they took to go to and from the airport each day. 1 day they stopped right overhead when i was eating lunch. it was sooo loud and i could feel the blast of the rotar. no sure how far up he was but the department of def building (which was were i worked) is 4 stories high and he wasnt much further up then the roof!!! must of been waiting clearence to land at airport!!! or he was jus showing off cause it was right over the department of def building!!
