Posted August 25, 200816 yr For those that don't know what I'm talking about Anyone else had one? Had my first one a few weeks ago and as soon as I realized what was happening I tried flying and pretty much woke up after I got of the ground and started getting really really excited. Had my 2nd one this morning. I basically "woke up" in my dream, did a reality check on a handy person's name tag (read something then look away and read it again, it will say something different if your dreaming.) Then at the climax of the dream I was being chased by evil ninja girl scouts throwing something at me and I was cutting them down with a Katana I pulled out of the air when I needed something to defend myself. We were also jumping over rooftops in what looked like a wooden camp lodge out in the forest. God it was awesome. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ee/US_Army_E-2.svg/50px-US_Army_E-2.svg.png http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4927/awardslf0.png
August 25, 200816 yr Yes, i remember having one of these a few weeks ago I cant exactly remember....But I was awake and I was having a dream pretty wierd stuff... When this sort of thing happens you tend to forget it very quickly like most dreams. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
August 25, 200816 yr a well known psychic used this method to find hitlers bunker in ww2 . she described things in detail and when the bunker was found everything she had said was there was actually there . right down to the furniture . she was in america while doing this , its otherwise known as astral travel . August 25, 200816 yr Several times a week, every week, without fail. It is not fun for me, nor is it 'exciting' in the true sense of the word. This only happens to me in a 'nightmare' state. Mine are not pleasant experiences and usually center around 'people' (sometimes clearly visible, sometimes just shades/shadows) intruding into my house or bedroom. I know I am dreaming but I am unable to convince myself I have to wake up, as I think I am actually awake and what is happening is real. Its not uncommon for me to hurl abuse, leap from my bed or both before my wife will start yelling at me to wake up and go back to bed. As a child I cowered in fear under my pillow/sheet/doona, as I thought I could see people in my doorway sneaking around and coming in to get me. I am also a sleepwaker and suffer from what is considered very mild sleep apnea, in that I stop breathing during the night, taking quiet a period of time to realise something is not right, and then start gasping for air. One thing I have noticed, and unfortunately seem to have passed onto my daughter, is that my nightmares and lucidity are much, much worse when I am sick. August 25, 200816 yr Author Sounds like you would benefit from learning to control that Jim, Do some reading on lucid dreaming, start practicing different techniques to control it. If your truly "lucidly" dreaming and not just dreaming your awake it should be relatively easy to move from being controlled to controlling it. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ee/US_Army_E-2.svg/50px-US_Army_E-2.svg.png http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4927/awardslf0.png
August 25, 200816 yr When I was younger I had similar issues to Jim, I would have the worse nightmares and sleepwalk all the time doing the strangest things. What fixed it for me was getting a portable fan and sleep with it blowing on my face. A doctor prescribed this, said I would only sleepwalk and have aweful nightmares if I was warm or hot. Tried that for a remedy Jim, worked wonders for me!? As for nightmares today, for some strange reason I love them! The suspense kills me! I hate waking up not seeing the ending. The only ones I hate are when they do feel real and are hurting someone in my family. (Theres a bit of personal information for ya!) Zenning hardcore.
August 25, 200816 yr Yeah Ive read up a fair bit Slav, the best I can manage is create confusion for myself, leaving me standing in the doorway wondering whether I saw what I thought I saw or if I was dreaming - its even less pleasant than being woken up. Yeah Joel - had air-con directly on me, fan on me, heater on me, electric blanket on all night, water bottles, heat packs, tried lots of combos, nothing seems to help. I hate it with a passion but I have come to accept it. At least the sleepwalking settled somewhat - I no longer take myself outdoors at least. Waking up outside in the frost covered grass in the middle of winter is not my idea of fun at all. If you could do this in a positive fashion Slav, as you have said, I can imaging how exciting it would feel. Former Head Admin Check out the current admin list HERE
August 25, 200816 yr I have these occasionally, usually it is an amusing and/or frustrating (can't change the dream despite knowing it is one) experience. My wife is interesting in that she can clearly remember dreams (every night) whereas I can only vaguely recall them. PS From the title of the thread I thought you were dreaming of tanks blowing up, a trademark of the former Hellfish BigD PR player Lucid... August 25, 200816 yr I have a recurring dream in which I am trying to decide if I should move a body which I have buried...no idea whose it is . I never get to find out. Been having it for years now.. Freaks me out. http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee118/bahlye/bahlye007/mouse_zps73307fb2.gif
August 25, 200816 yr Author Have you buried a body? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ee/US_Army_E-2.svg/50px-US_Army_E-2.svg.png http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4927/awardslf0.png
August 25, 200816 yr My wife and my 4YO Rohan sleep walk. If Rohan is mentally stimulated during the day (like going to pre-school), there will be lots of screaming and crying in the middle of the night, and he'll be sitting up in his bed with his eyes glazed over. You can't communicate with him - its really sad to watch. So I think I know what you're talking about Jim. Apparently there is a part of the brain that disconnects your motor system during sleep that is still developing in kids, and is why they are prone to sleep walk and the grow out of it. August 25, 200816 yr the shadows are entitys , i used to be constantly attacked by them when i was young . the last visit i had was about 10 years ago , paralysed with a dark cloud floating over me . it jumped in me and i had the white light like when you get punched , i hollered F**K off and watched it float out my room with red swirls on it . i thought i was losing it but apparently the red swirls indicate anger as it had not got what it wanted . my old lady is into witchcraft and that so i told her , she went to another witch who placed a protection spell for this sort of carry on and i have not had a "visit" since . they are very real those shadows jim . August 25, 200816 yr I have a recurring dream in which I am trying to decide if I should move a body which I have buried...no idea whose it is . I never get to find out. Been having it for years now.. Freaks me out. Psychoanalysis 101 - you have an unresolved guilt which you have not yet dealt with. A physical body is (or can be) the concrete instance/signifier of an unconscious desire, memory or regret. You do not know who the body is because your unconscious will not allow you access - this means that whatever the guilt or fear or whatever is, you are not yet ready to deal with it, you will be unable to identify it until you are ready to accept whatever guilt or memory this buried body represents. Moving the body and the concomitant anxiety surrounding this represents a fear that the secret, desire, regret or guilt will be discovered/uncovered by another but in this context probably just as likely represents your unconscious trying to scare you away from whatever it is that you may discover about yourself or whatever guilt that lies deeply buried and hidden away from the light of conscious apprehension. You are caught between wanting to know and not wanting to know "who it is" (i.e. what it represents): moving the body is a matter of burying it away from consciousness somewhere else inside the conundrum wrapped inside a paradox folded up in an enema (sic.) which is Bahlye. Or not. RE: On Shadows... you should have watched Doctor Who last night Champsky... there were shadows which could strip the flesh to the bone in milliseconds... August 25, 200816 yr You poor buggers that get nightmares. I've only had a couple and one was seeing an alien looking at me at the end of my bed. He looked and gave off an aura of being ancient. He looked at me I looked at him then I woke up terrified and could not sleep right for a week. I've had a few of those lucid cool dreams too. I love them. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/SirChuc/smokejumper3.jpg http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpg Or as one of many thousands of Canadians have said, my guns are at the bottom of that lake. August 25, 200816 yr I use to be controlled in dreams when I was a kid, use to have dreams of all sorts with my big imagination I could think up all nasty things.. But no longer do I get alot of flying ones, no more ones I cant kick ass in, These days its something Ive been thinking about/ wishing would happen. Now theres times were I love dreaming, for the things I get to do are exactly what I wished I could.. Or that are very entertaining. Oh and Wolfy he isnt getting bullied at school or anything is he? Fear is another word for weakness.

Watch the many alien conspiracy videos on youtube of pics/ videos /evidence and watch people give you speeches etc and the proof... TO find out they had been killed in a "not so normal death" and wonder why? Do it in pitch black at night around 2am or so.. Thats what I did last week lol! It starts to make you think, whos watching me, whos there? Ayone outside my window? Do they know im reading about them... is it real. Fear is another word for weakness.
August 25, 200816 yr Oh and Wolfy he isnt getting bullied at school or anything is he? No, I don't think so. He gets the same when he plays with my cousins all Sunday afternoon. I'm pretty sure its just mental stimulation and replaying the activities of the day. http://www.vrcombat.com/alive_footer_white_1.gif http://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo1.pnghttp://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo2.pnghttp://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo3.png
August 25, 200816 yr nightmares on the other hand plague me . certain events that have taken place during my lifetime replaying . its a bastard . wake up in a cold sweat or spend all night swearing your ass off till woken by the missus . i find if im pissed or stoned i sleep well . August 25, 200816 yr Alot of people have to deal with things that take a cement stomach and an iron fortitude to get through day to day - things that would plague them for the rest of their life, both awake and more uncontrollably when asleep - and for those people I feel a sense of incredible sense of sadness, dealing with what I have had to in my simple place in life is hard enough at times, let alone dealing with those sorts of things. August 25, 200816 yr I can control most things i do when dreaming and remember most dreams I have. Phsycologist friend told me it was normal for some people. Flying always works, was never scared of things in nightmares as a kid as I knew if they ate me/killed me, whatever, I could bring myself back to life. Guns and bullets never work for some reason. Here is a list of particularly awesome things: dogs sniping very spicy chilli cat claws on people (but still cool on cats)
August 25, 200816 yr i used have dreams where i kept trying to stop something or do something but no matter how hard i tred i couldnt do/stop it. funnily enough nowadays if it ever happens my brain usually realises im in a dream situaution cause it recognise the type of dream and wakes me up. so most dreams i have now i control Edited August 25, 200816 yr by Helo*AUS*
