Okay guys, use the small server when there is just a few people or you want a game when no one is playing.

 

With 10 ppl on the big server people start to leave after a short time as it's boring in most maps. I just watched the server sit at 14 and I don't even join at 14 in the big server and I'm sure there are lots out there who do the same.

 

I don't have a lot of gaming time so I play whatever is going off. A lot of people are the same, that's life. Had there been even 6 people in the small server people join and stay, once it fills make a move to the big server.

 

 

Now there are 6 people in the big server from 14. Looks like people got bored and played in the US.

 

Use the small server when you have few people, no one bails as often and soon you'll get 30.

Your sigh indicates dissatisfaction. Your last two threads have been what I would class as good ol' whinges (not that there is anything wrong with that). Problems at home?

 

While I enjoy playing Server 2, due to it being set up for the ladder and what not, the rounds end too quickly. Personally, I would avoid it if I was looking for a proper game and have done in the past.

I'm just saying use the small server to kick the night off and move asap.

 

Small numbers in the big server makes it take longer to get a good game going.

 

Problems at home?

 

 

Actually, my dad back in Canada has recently had a heart attack. It is making life hard at the moment....

I truly am sorry to hear that. I'm assuming by the information left out in the post that he is still with us so I hope he gets better.

 

I know what you mean about the Servers though. Thing is, it's always #1 that gets started and then we usually bail to #2 if Kashan or QinLing or similar comes on. Getting everyone to move across is a lesson in logistics!

Personally I much prefer PR with the full combined arms gameplay found only on the large server, and I know many of you are the same.

 

However you are kidding yourself trying to play 64 player maps with less than 10-20 people.

 

As Smokey said when server numbers are low jump on the small server first, and once you get enough players jump over to the large server.

 

You will normally find that you can persuade most of the server population to swap with the right mixture of logic and pleading

People figure it out quick when they notice everyone is gone all of a sudden.

 

Also, swap at the map change as some will want to play out the round. Not like you have long to wait on the small server anyway.

what i would like to see after the ladder season is over is a 24/7 small server of Al Brash

Wait for 0.8 and you'll have plenty of insurgency.

Can admins turn the large server off during the day and then turn it on late in the arvo ..... that way the small server would get used when just small numbers are playing.

I too prefer the mixed armour/vehicle/infantry maps, esp. the vehicle/infantry maps - however some of those smaller maps are a bucketload of funtime with their opportunties for CQB action, and I have no hesitation in jumping to S2 when there's less than 15-20 on server 1.

.8 is going to be a huge download if the new factions come in

 

yea insurgency mode can be really fun even if there is no real team work going on which is very hard to find some days
