Don't know how many of you are into UFC/MMA but I thought I'd post up this tribute I found. GSP has to be one of, if not my favorite fighter in the UFC.

 

Why? Because he has quite possibly the maddest skills in the UFC (with the exclusion of the legendary randy couture) yet he's so humble and respectful and that's quite rare. GSP is commonly touted as one of the most athletic fighters in the UFC and has a devastating skill set that comes from a background in kyokushin karate and MMA staples such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing. His background in Kyokushin though, is what is most notable as this gives him his powerful and stunning looking kicks which have dropped many skilled opponents.

 

Also unlike many fighters, he doesn't just have great standup or ground game, he has both. He's taken on and won against several opponents who are spectacular wrestlers and ground fighters, most notably BJ penn and Matt Hughes.

Ya I watch it. I like chuck as hes not so much technique but his willing to just go in fighting like a pub brawl and asks if anyone would like to join in lol. Thats what its like..

I have a friend who fights in sydney and qld, hes had a few big lumps and bruises on his face.. with plenty of blood.. lol

Lol so far ive gotta say;

First guy, some one needed to knock that chinese guy out for not giving up from beating his opponent who was already out cold.

The guy at 2.50 didnt learn after he got rocked with about 7+ upper cuts the same way, TO MOVE YOUR CHIN IDIOT lol

 

What have we learnt so far? People will risk there bodies, and lives for fame and money.. And to keep your head BACK, hands UP, watch for the high kick, and dont let him slam you on your spine!

 

Some of those people will have life long injures.. fools! UFC is a little more kind with a couple rules to reduce the number of permanent injurys. (unlike japan style, they know there population is to high anyway!)

MMA, despite what people portray it as from the common sight of blood in the sport, is actually ALOT more safer then say boxing, simply because of the rules in place. If a guy gets knocked out in UFC, hes knocked out, theres no 10 count. This (without counting the other rules) alone reduces the risk of permanent damage significantly.
