What's changed since 0.7 ?

 

I have been out of circulation for 6 months. Still waiting for my new BF2 disc.

I have all the necessary digital addendums for PR. Looking forward to some digital biffo.

 

What's changed, eh ? Anything significant (?)... and BTW watch out for me

when I get back in game... I'm a tad rusty...

couple of nice new maps... +1 one which looked promising but has issues... al basrah not yet fixed

 

suppression effects are the biggest change I reckon

if you actually played a bit of .7 i think .75's best change was the tone down of the ridiculous deviation. suppression at first is a bit to get used to but now i love it. new key features to .75 include:

 

black screen when dead or dieing

trip flares for marksmen/sniper

when bleeding out you go into a black and white blurred effect (quite cool)

no more spamming from the quarter master about everyones kit selections

PR tips whilst loading map (think ancient man was behind that one)

Pity about Al Basrah - that had some of the best gameplay.

the spawning system must make things very different, too...

One thing I think I've noticed, is the friendly tags show a little easier these days. From memory .7 had it turned way the hell down almost to the point where it was not there. As it is, they need to be close, you need to look at them... it's actually spot on for me, and the TK's have come down accordingly.

Dev's ? Hrmm... I think Ancient Man was involved in that around the time I vanished under mysterious circumstances potentially involving a travelling troupe of Parisian Moulin Rouge Can-Can dancers...

 

I realise that PR's something special... I am gagging waiting for my new disc to arrive... it should put a magnificent, vast and gaping hole in my current academic concerns...

 

I may ask to sign up for [bD] again... after I cut my teeth... I am a wee bit rusty... and the damn BF2 demo is annoying the crap out of me... half a mag of M4 into a body and the guy's still shooting at me... FFS...

 

I look forward to sneaking around with landmines and C4... which pissed off so many people before... but is my interpretation of one role of SF in PR... SF combat engineer, more specifically...
