    Oh, I think you just have to click 'Yes' to accept it.

     

    There are some pages that come up 'Forbidden - Access Denied', but there is a lot of publicly accessible stuff there. The info I was looking for when I stumbled across it is a full description of an Mechanised Infantry Squad, mainly roles assigned, but there is a heap more info about it ( https://rdl.train.army.mil/soldierPortal/atia/adlsc/view/public/9518-1/fm/7-7/Ch2.htm ).

    What the prompt message means is the 'certificate' (no, its not spyware, its the padlock on your browser) is NOT recognised by IE or Firefox. You can 'Examine' the certificate, which shows the security certificate is issued by Department of Defense, US. Yes, you can fake the certificate issuer, but you can't fake the .mil domain name, which is definitely government issued. I could go into further detail on how website security certificates are issued and verified, but I won't.

     

    Anyway, if you still don't trust my explanation - just visit the following about DoD Security Certificates!

    "Restricted" which means they can not be legally published (in print or televised ) or reproduced in anyway without Defence department clearance.
