Posted February 8, 200817 yr I always wondered if playing at a higher resolution helped with "bullsh!t" shots? I play at 1024x768 , just wondering if anyone can confirm higher resolution has enabled them to perform those kind of shots at longer ranges? http://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/valour.gifhttp://img205.imageshack.us/img205/5224/operationcrownribbon02py7.jpg yeaaa booooy.
February 8, 200817 yr Good question its prolly easier to pixel shoot at a lower resolution than a higher but when scoping at range I have noticed with a lower sesitivity mouse it's harder to centralise a headshot it's always slighty either side http://matt.itsthemadhouse.com/na/sigs/na-sig-gruanch5.png http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/bulletmagnet.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/gren.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/ocrs.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamaserv.jpg
February 8, 200817 yr i play at 1680x1050 and it doesnt make me a better shot. took quite some time to get used to the change in resolution but i wouldnt say it makes you a better shot although you can see more things much better. http://www.madhouseau.com/misc/sigs/darthsig.jpg
February 8, 200817 yr true, maybe not so much a better shot, maybe better situationally aware, from being able to see better
February 8, 200817 yr id say that tanking with better the screen and graphics the better you can see i no this is im about to sell my computer with a 5600 nivda and i got and used a 8800gts and you cant see people past 500meter (something like that) but its better to have bad graphics looking in to long grass idiots are hardcoded
February 8, 200817 yr i found tht the game crashes more for me if its above 1024x768. i have no idea why tho.
February 8, 200817 yr I used to be pretty average when it came to raw kills on the scoreboard. But then I got my new PC (towards the end of 0.5 / beginning of 0.6) and I consistently topped the scoreboard and took down nearly every opponent I came across. Higher resolutions are a godsend, but equally so are higher framerates. If you've got a constant 60FPS and above, you're already at an advantage. http://users.on.net/hindes/thephotoshop_sig1.gif http://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/squadleader.gifhttp://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/stealth.gifhttp://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/singapore.jpghttp://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/valour.gifhttp://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/spec_hat.gif
February 8, 200817 yr My new PC is running 1920 x 1200 on a 24" LCD with 60-90 fps depending on the map: 1 - its a lot more prettier but as mentioned by 1rankman, you now lose sight of people in long grass, etc 2- IMHO higher fps is a lot more advantageous than higher resolution 3 - it hasn't made me a better shot at all http://www.vrcombat.com/alive_footer_white_1.gif http://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo1.pnghttp://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo2.pnghttp://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo3.png
February 8, 200817 yr No. Here is a list of particularly awesome things: dogs sniping very spicy chilli cat claws on people (but still cool on cats)
February 8, 200817 yr 1280x1024. But framerate is way more important than reso. A larger resolution scales everything up so targets become bigger ect, but if your card cant handle it then higher fps >> higher resolution. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ee/US_Army_E-2.svg/50px-US_Army_E-2.svg.png http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4927/awardslf0.png
