for some reason BF wont start up. when i go to log on after starting the game up it gives me a message saying the server has refused the connection.... why?... errr. help?

Looks like EA's account server is down.

 

Cant do much but keep trying to connect.

I,m having the same problem,just went out and bought a netcom modem as my new belkin modem woudnt connect due to port forwarding issues.Now all i get is "the server has refused connection".....i am coming to end of my rope with these constant connection issues!!what gives??

Wow, extremely bad timing noopsi, especially after all your recent problems!

 

This is just a temporary problem, it will affect anyone who tries to connect at the moment. Those currently ingame will be fine unless they disconnect and then try to reconnect.

 

EAs master account server goes down from time to time, it cant be helped.

HA, their dropping like flys outa the server. get ready 4 a hell of alot of ppl on the forums going WTF!

It does happen unfortunately. Luckily though, its fairly rare these days.

Account server is back up, you should be able to connect now.

ya. saw the server numbrs go bak up on the homepage. im surprised at how quick EA were in repairing it.

BTW you guys do realise that it's Tuesday night. Whenever EA does maintenance on the account servers or whatever, it gets done on Tuesday night. Been like that since BF2 was released...
