Looking for a dx10 capable video card with at least some power.

But heres the catch - want one cheap.

Something along the lines of the 8800gt series.

You can't pick one up at the moment cheap but after Xmas should be good.

sniping

very spicy chilli

cat claws on people (but still cool on cats)

According to Porridge/DFA, the latest offerings from ATi/AMD are very well priced (max out at about $400) and offer performance in the range of upper end 8800GTS'

They are dx10 compatable & have SLI. Good card for the cash. Pr & everything else I have run plays fine...

Ive got a gts 320, to bad It was almost double that price when I got it :(

It runs everying on medium on crysis nice and fast, using vista premium 64bit.

Very cheap now.

Fear is another word for weakness.
i hope your powersupply can handle your new card

Thats probably why IT estate wont sell you most of the newer cards without buying a power supply thats packaged with it.

Sort of.

If you're talking about the "MUST BUY ITEM xxxxxxx FOR THIS PRICE" specials then its simply because they will be making a tonne of margin on the PSU where they wont with the graphics card.

Give em a call... But I am sure you could find someone local Ice... Just look for the smaller guys who dont rent in high rent malls & arcades... They are usually the cheaper guys..:cowboy:
