if you want some ddr 400 go to your local comp shop, (should be able to pick up some for about 30-80 bucks

check out here, cheap good ram there should be a store near you if your on the east coast

Hardly anyone has it in stock. I don't want to spend $80 on it either. It's just for a basic system.

Problem is its inly gonna get rarer and dearer as the recyclers cash in on its value to the older systems

I've got a gig of TwinX Corsair, Dual DDR RAM you can have for $20 if that sounds alright.

 

But the offer above is pretty good so you may want that!

It's just for a basic internet/mp3 computer for one of my missus' friends who is staying with us for the next 6 or so months. It already has 256mb in it, so it will have 1gb in total now which is more than adequate
