Posted September 23, 200717 yr http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post...mail-leak.html http://www.mediadefender-defenders.com/ http://www.mediadefender-defenders.com/CandD/reply.txt Thanks to the email-leakage from MediaDefender-Defenders we now have proof of the things we've been suspecting for a long time; the big record and movie labels are paying professional hackers, saboteurs and ddosers to destroy our trackers. While browsing through the email we identified the companies that are also active in Sweden and we have tonight reported these incidents to the police. The charges are infrastructural sabotage, denial of service attacks, hacking and spamming, all of these on a commercial level. The companies that are being reported are the following: Twentieth Century Fox, Sweden AB Emi Music Sweden AB Universal Music Group Sweden AB Universal Pictures Nordic AB Paramount Home Entertainment (Sweden) AB Atari Nordic AB Activision Nordic Filial Till Activision (Uk) Ltd Ubisoft Sweden AB Sony Bmg Music Entertainment (Sweden) AB Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Nordic AB Stay tuned for updates. http://users.on.net/~mperrin/images/les_mis_kindros.png You're all wrong, and I am always right, and the sooner you accept it, the happier you will be. September 23, 200717 yr So in lamens terms....what does this mean? Destroy our trackers ??? There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/goodconduct.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/riflemanspecialist.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/infantryofficer.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/bullettime.bmp reportplayers@bigdgaming.net
September 23, 200717 yr Author I would not be surprised if many other now even within the US/Canada and Eu give these companies a crack in the courtroom either independently or as a class action. Lets face it they are hacking into a business network, which is illegal. They are also denying service which is also illegal. Be very interesting how this will fall in the end whether it will be a complee backlash on a single company like the main or whether the RIAA and its demon spawn etc have to rethink their tactics. This potentially has some law changing grounds. http://users.on.net/~mperrin/images/les_mis_kindros.png You're all wrong, and I am always right, and the sooner you accept it, the happier you will be. September 23, 200717 yr Author So in lamens terms....what does this mean? Destroy our trackers ??? It means people like Sony/BMG/Universal/Paramount/EMI/Fox etc have actually hired hackers to deny service of legitimate companies, or networks. They have also illegally accessed networks and altered files which were not their own to be altered, in the sense of trackers, or have also destroyed other forms of digital information. http://users.on.net/~mperrin/images/les_mis_kindros.png You're all wrong, and I am always right, and the sooner you accept it, the happier you will be. September 23, 200717 yr Eventually, the copywrite laws will have to be re-written because they will simply lose out to internet piracy if they are kept as is. So, the question is, what will these new laws be like? Will they actually force companies to create good products that make people want to buy them! http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f162/rdeimel/T90sig.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f162/rdeimel/Badge-1.jpg I'm the dominatrix!
September 23, 200717 yr Author I would hope they would force companies to lower prices of their goods for greater distributions which should offset profits and losses. Lets face it a 2c CD with data is no where near $30 brand new. And of that the artists IF they have written all the tracks will only get like $2.50 out of that whole CD. And a DVD isn't much different. What these companies are really scared about and fighting over is the fact that they are loosing mega bucks to the people who they have been screwing over for the last 30 years. If they had kept their products at reasonable prices and paid their artists proper % amounts these trends of today wouldn't be so wide-spread or prevalent. The actual fact I believe is that audio and video piracy YARR! has actually risen since in the intervention of the RIAA scams etc. People are now actually sick of being slung over a barrel to these guys and taking the rough end of the stick. And Piracy is a very effective to get this message across to them. We are infact hitting them quite hard where they hurt the most, and the one thing which we will always have over these guys is numbers. The Internet when you look at it on a strategic scale is a giant sleeper cell. You shut down one server, and it costs them around $700K USD+ court costs which realistically they wont ever get back, and while they have lost that money 5 more server have popped up with the exact same content. This time in another country with completely different laws ala Norway as original post. now you have US based company fighting a trans continental ISP or Server house which don't comply to US policy, this time it costs them $3Mil USD hypothetically which once again these costs they wont re-coup. 1 of the servers goes down 5 more pop up. They will never win this battle on the internet. They would physically have to nuke themselves to be effective and cost proficient. Which personally I would pay for front row seats to see. Even if they were going to Time Warner for publication right. http://users.on.net/~mperrin/images/les_mis_kindros.png You're all wrong, and I am always right, and the sooner you accept it, the happier you will be.
