September 22, 200717 yr I got a Wii... PS3's and Xbox 360's, you can do everything they can do and more on a PC, just different games. A Wii you can't, so that's why I got it. Finally got around to getting a modchip for it and it should be coming in next week. Yay! http://www.ancientdev.com/images/devsig.png
September 22, 200717 yr How much was the modchip, where from, and does it work (once you get it of course)? http://users.on.net/hindes/thephotoshop_sig1.gif http://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/squadleader.gifhttp://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/stealth.gifhttp://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/singapore.jpghttp://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/valour.gifhttp://users.on.net/hindes/bigdy/spec_hat.gif
September 23, 200717 yr Yeah, it will work providing I don't botch the installation. Talk to me on xfire if you want more info. http://www.ancientdev.com/images/devsig.png
October 3, 200717 yr Should be getting an Xbox 360 soon. Halo 3 has tipped my hand plus there are a lot of exclusive games coming out on Xbox that I don't want to miss out on. Only problem is which Xbox should I get, the core pack, premium, elite. Too many options. Any suggestions/advise?
October 3, 200717 yr PC all the way. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/SirChuc/smokejumper3.jpg http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpg Or as one of many thousands of Canadians have said, my guns are at the bottom of that lake. October 3, 200717 yr Get the elite when it gets here. HDMI = yay, as alot of TV's are going to 1080P over HDMI only which sucks.
May 15, 201212 yr [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPmVhyHBRAM]It's alive - YouTube[/ame] question for you Xbox 360 owners out there. Can you play multiplay without an XBL membership/subscription? Been looking at PS3 and the 360 and the only game that was holding me towards the PS3 was MGS but I've since found they have released that for 360 and since I could get other games I'm interested in (Ace Combat, Halo etc) on the 360 have been leaning more towards that. May 15, 201212 yr question for you Xbox 360 owners out there. Can you play multiplay without an XBL membership/subscription? no. Xbox 360 is a paid sub but has arguably better service and cheaper dlc i think (maybe). Basic PS3 connectivity is free but has poorer service and DLC/other features are subscription based and cost money. Inq. May 15, 201212 yr I love streaming my films/music from the PC upstairs to the PS3 in the living room..plus,some games like Fight Night,NHL 12 etc you simply cannot get on PC...If I could, well,I would. When mates come round with beers and a soccer/boxing tournament in mind, the social aspect of sitting in a living room with Big-Ass TV and sound system, versus crowding round the PC to watch Mickey play BF3...mates + Beers and Boxing wins everytime. Not quite an Xbox, but still lots of fun.:hi: EDIT: PS3 also has plays Blu Ray,which Xbox 360 does not[correct me if I'm wrong]
May 15, 201212 yr Yeah I'd be saving my PC for my main gaming but have been thinking something like the 360 or PS3 may be a good way to get some media streaming happening. My Blu-Ray player atm has wifi however its locked down to BRLive or whatever the 'special feature downloads' is called and unfortunately requires a firmware hack to get around (which I haven't found if its even possible to do). There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
May 15, 201212 yr yeah I think you wont have that problem with the ps3...Although you can disable BD live if you have to... Plus all the recent firmware updates, plus the latest streaming software[e.g TVersity] are awesome for running all kinds of codecs to get the films you want played..this used to be an issue for PS3 users up until approx a year ago.. Sorry guys I know this was specifically started as an Xbox thread, but for those of you thinking about purchasing consoles,it might be a good thing to think about before dishing out your hard earned dollars.:hi:
May 15, 201212 yr McDeth, if you're going the mediacentre way of things, I would definitely recommend a PS3 instead. Mostly due to BluRay, but as Mickey said, you can play a variety of formats on your PS3 whereas I'm pretty sure the 360 is quite limited Inq. Dont know if I'll actually play online with the games tho as most have a decent SP component, most of the online games I like will be staying on the PC anyways. As said before, I already have a BR player so thats not such a huge issue. cheers tho guys for the input. May 15, 201212 yr Look having played both online services, the Xbox 360 is the way to go. Cheaper DLC and much higher quality online. Let's go, let's go overground Take your head out of the mud baby
