Hey all, as most of you are aware there has been a fair bit of talk about running a BigD Gaming Exile Server. Before I go any further, this thread does not mean we will be running an Exile server. However there is talk about it amongst the Senior and Arma Admins.

 

This thread is to post my thoughts and ideas of what I would like to do with an Exile server, taking into account I do not like creating something that has already been done. But more importantly, we at BigD Gaming would like to know what you guys/girls consider to be a good Exile server and to gather any ideas/thoughts that you would like to see.

Sounds mad, I'd love to see an exile server. Just a big enough map for players to spread out and build bases. Also best to leave out Ace since players do get shot up a lot

I think the idea is great as I sparked it accidentally as a joke and it spurred into an idea, I do think taking out the aliens and the predator would be a good move first as they seem a bit random but stick with zombies as they’re a fun threat to be able to deal with, ACE may get in the way more than it will be enjoyed so it may need some testing within the exile framework and just see how it plays other than that, you already know I like vidda and your PPE ideas. Keep it up and hopefully we can start some kind of development soon

I love Arma and I love base building coupled with survival.

Id be keen for one. I agree with what Palmer said. Ace might not be the best option because its not as 'plug in and play'. Although if it worked well within the mission it would be interesting to see. And awesome map idea

All add fantastic content and keep the variety high to give people plenty of choice when picking how they want to fight, look and build.

If we do go ahead and run an Exile server, I will look at the building mods. I will not be using the CUP mods though, I do not like the quality. I would rather use RHS USAF, AFRF and SMA.

Yeah no worries that’s understandable they are sub par in basically all areas, TRYK is a solid gear mod because it has some very interesting uniforms and vests but also falls under the CUP category for being semi sub par
