I wanna suggest that admins could maybe put up some helpfull hints as messages in game at the start of a round and even during, regarding gameplay and even server rules.

 

Because we have alot of new players and the majority don't bother to read server rules or even the objectives of the game itself I think this might help.

 

Here are some examples I came up with off the top of my head:

 

"Players are encouraged to attack or defend Flags marked with purple or yellow icons."

 

"Squad leaders are encouraged to communicate with each other and co-ordinate as a team."

 

"Invasion Game Mode - Defending team starts with all Flags captured. The attacking team must capture all the flags, in an order that is marked by lattice markers on the in-game map.Flags cannot be recaptured.""

 

"Vehicle Assets are valuable do not use non specific transport assets solely for transport."

 

Maybe if new people see these kinds of messages in red admin letters at the top of the screen it might get through, what do you think ?

Jack has a good point here. Most of the time we see admin messages and ignore them, though.

 

Is it possible to change the colour of the admin messages? Red is a conditioned response colour (stop signs, traffic lights), but it doesn't always mean it gets read.

 

I think getting some more relevant messages up there could be a great way to provide helpful tips to players.

 

"Your squad mates are counting on you. Be their Doc and step-up as medic!"

 

"No war is won without communications - Squad Leaders use G to coordinate and Lead the Way!"

 

You get the idea. Exploratory committee needed.
