That perceived dirty term - Reserved Slots.

 

It is something I've been open to having for community members for a long time.

So far we only allow access to reserved slots on the public servers to members of the Squad Admin team.

The long standing reason has been because Squad does not allow us to have separate tiers of reserved slots - so if server is full and an admin needs to get on to assist, they can't. We do have at our disposal some of the best third party admin tools currently out there for Squad Servers which does help somewhat to overcome this problem.

 

As BigD embarks on pushing the level of service we offer to a higher standard, I'd like to open up the discussion around reserved slots.

 

Would you pay for one?

Is been a member of a community unit the way to go?

Make them available to those who attend community events regularly?

I think it should be limited to donators and admins. Incentive to donate and isn't alienating public players by having half the server reserved.

I agree, donators should be allowed a reserve spot as well as those who regularly contribute to the community in some way.
