hey just a quick thread..

 

could we set one up the same as what we had for the PR campaign many moons ago..

 

basically its the exact same idea of the current ones excet those who apply for the campaign get split into the two factions and they stay with that faction till the end of the campaign.

have sub forums created for both factions so the planning for certain missions / outcomes can be done in house over the week prior to the match being played it worked very well for the old PR campaign and could help the events run alot better as all info passed on from leaders and grunts will be accessible in the sub forums and will lead to alot better cohesion in missions.

This would be awesome!!! The original Yolo events were great, but a little too quick and specific.

The new expanded version has really added to that format, but have felt very vague, for lack of a better word. There are fleeting moments of intense gaming, if you were lucky enough to avoid that early death. But mostly it has been walking around a lot, sometimes with very little understanding of what our goal or objective is past any instructions issued during the initial kickoff briefing.

 

The briefings of the first few events I took part in were great, and I'm sure would be improved upon with more attempts. This idea of firming up the teams for a campaign, would make this relaying of information so much easier.

yeah i couldnt fidnt any of the old forum posts because they are from memory 8 years old.. but it was basically the same as what we experience with yolo except they were full rounds of PR when you signed up you got given some choices E.G infantry, logistics trans, support.. and that is where you stayed and seeing as the community was big enough people got their place but if RL got involved everone who was in your team got subed or those who missed out got a place.. bak then there were even medals and all it could make for a very interesting thing and if enough numbers joined the ranks currently could mean more missions different times a week and still be fulll servers .. as all that where in a side could only see those sub forums so everyone knew what was going on.. sorry for the wall of text but drunk on monday is a good time.

 

essential all it creates is two more units/clans for a campaign amongst BigD who are split between everyone involved in the community and you may have a chance to play great times in the process no matter which sub unit or clan or random bigD member its a great time either way.
