Posted September 23, 20168 yr Vote Now & help us with our next event! Hi BigD Squadies! We are starting to push out regular events for your enjoyment and want to give the community an opportunity to help us plan these events. We are having regular event meetings on Wednesday nights at 8:00pm AEST and all are welcome to attend. The next event after we finish at Logar will be on the Insurgency game mode and will be likely focused on the strategic defence and elimination of the weapons caches. We will be looking to have this on Sunday October 2nd at 7pm AEST. http://i.imgur.com/OnNRUpA.jpg Future events may be on alternate days, so those who can't make sundays will have an option for Friday or Saturday the following week. We want to give you guys the chance to pick the map this time, although we have limited it to two options. This is mainly so we don't repeat maps from previous and future events, and also to make sure there is a a good balance of game play. Also feel free to post other ideas and suggestions you may have. Insurgency Sunday OCT 2nd 7 PM AEST 30 vs 30 Chora Insurgent Forces vs USA or Sumari Insurgent Forces vs USA Please vote in above poll! Thanks. http://i.imgur.com/oh3mmAI.png
October 1, 20168 yr in the spirit of community maybe if one side is smashing the other and they are pushed back to their last flag early in the game that the pushing team retreats back to the middle flags and allows the other team a chance to establish a better position. not too sure how it happened in the last event but i was in the team that pushed through to the last flag. we didn't have a good role out but the lack of resistance showed that the other teams was even worse. i don't think people enjoy getting rolled like that and i'm not sure if it lead to people rage quitting or not. another idea might be to not go live at role out. allow the initial flags to be capped and once that happens then go live to make a more even battle contesting the middle objectives. not much good for next event as it's insurgents but maybe for next AAS. We actually had a rule in place to not rush and only fight over the middle points. As US commander, I only gave the go ahead to advance to the next 2 points when we received no contact or resistance. Spono later confirmed that his plan was to let us advance to the last militia flags then counter. A plan that just didn't work. Obviously it is in the communities interests to have fun, engaging and tightly contested games. The week before was one such game. Work is done to ensure teams are balanced, and nothing can account for bad strategy in a game of squad. I'm very confident that last weeks event will be one of those rare games where one team wins by a clear margin, and most games will be close.
