The Goon Bandit and myself tried our hand at SquadOps the other day, had a blast. For those that don't know what it is, they are a community that plays hardcore 1-life senarios in Squad, based in both North America and Europe.

Anyway, you need to do SOTT (their version of basic training, ie. structure, comms, formations etc.) before you can participate in the weekend Ops. Its a tad borderline MilSim wankery, but necessary I guess for the style of play they do.

 

They are holding 2 SOTT sessions on Sunday, one at 6am AEST and one at 11am AEST.

 

If you are interested checking it out and getting the cert to participate, check our some videos and sign up on the forums and register for SOTT.

 

If a few of us start doing it and become well versed enough to do it ourselves, I'm thinking we might even steal it off them and run one for BigD.

I'll wait and see what training, if any, you think is necessary for our version of this gamestyle - but I won't be getting cert'd by this other community.

yeah for sure, i need to cut my gaming down and prefer to do sqaudops when i can play
