Our ARMA3 Exile server is now up to date with Exile Mod 1.0.0

 

Server setup:

  • Standard Exile mode
  • Altis map
  • 15K Starter fund for new players
  • Roaming AI
  • AI defended military buildings
  • Random placed Heli Crashes with rare loot
  • 4 hour server restarts
  • Vehicle Towing

 

I have removed CUP & CBA as Exile has included a lot of the goodies from these extra mods - removing these mods not only will help attract fresh meat to the server, but also allow easier mod installation for everyone and everyone not being kicked from the server for dodgy files will be a big advantage.

 

The following mods are required to join our server:

If you have suggestions/feedback on how our server is setup, post it up here.

 

Don't forget to get involved and jump on teamspeak, ts3.bigdgaming.net - we have multiple channels just for Exile.

 

It would be great for us all to encourage others to join in and hopefully we can get some good PvP action going on between factions.

    Nice one man, tanoa is pretty interesting, lots of dense bits. Still needs investigating though.

    I was horrified when my 20k choppa became a 140k choppa. Such is life.

    It appears the mods where just to hard for people to grasp how to install.... Maybe we needed a BigD portal lol that helped them. Fools!![ATTACH=full]1341[/ATTACH]

    So with the new update and the CUP mods being removed, I can't seem to find any weapons in military areas. I ran from Terminal, NE through the airport military area and searched every building. I found 1 gun and a heap of toilet paper and mags.

     

    So in the latest Exile update, the default loot tables have had their spawning chance changed a lot as you have found. Myself and Greene are working on a custom loot table as we had before - hopefully will be done soon.

    You guys might need to state that the server is PvP and PvE, killed 3 of the DoW guys and the raged at me saying it was PvE only. I know you are trying to increase the player count, but I might have made those 3 players leave sorry.

     

    It says no where it's PvP and/Or PvE - so they should not assume it is only PvE.

     

    I will put it in the server name when I'm home that we are both.

    Speaking of PvP, is there any chance of the server being 1st person only? Having the 3rd person camera in coop missions is fine but I can't stand the 3rd person "camera hacks" in PvP, you are at a huge disadvantage if you don't game the system and look around/above all the walls with the 3rd person camera. Which I find totally lame.

     

    Honestly I don't know why it even exists in a game like ArmA 3 where the core design philosophy is realism and immersion.

    I like 3rd person for Exile/DayZ/Breaking Point, its just fun playing this way and having a laugh. If I wanted to play with more realism I wouldn't be playing these mods, I would be doing proper missions with the ASOR guys.

     

    Also, why is the server down this morning? :(

    I dont like it at all when its anything to do with my base and peeking over/around walls and so on.

    Ive come to accept that most people mostly play 3rd person, but i would always prefer only 1st just for gunplay, vehicles etc.

     

    Would it be nicer to have the roaming AI set to something a little easier? Would be good to have some longer battles than just - bam dead, oh AI every time.

    I mean I crossed paths with some in a town i was trying to drive through in a busted vehicle, and because they see through the foot of grass and everything else,

    there was no way I could get a shot.

     

    Its ok as is but i think more gun battles would be nice, patrols of more dudes with less skill

    Went through the Neochori(spelling) mission last not, got down to 11 AI left before I died. Poor Greene died 3 times.

    Well, once was the AI. The rest was me crashing Quad Bikes into walls.

    Hey Madhouse can you link the Mod numerical code in the front page post? just want to make sure ive got the right one :S unless the wizard is available to install it for me? :p

    A3 launcher is the way to go for version "potato" @Systern if you cannot see version 1.0 in your mods section of A3 launcher then you may have to update it, it's important that you ensure the mods are downloading to the steam Arma 3 folder to ensure your game loads properly when downloading version 1.0, the download file from the official website to manually load the files is having a little issues as people cannot extract the files so A3 launcher is the way to go in this case.
