Hey guys!

 

Now obviously the Steam summer sale is on, and with over 13,000 games discounted it's a pretty tough choice. To make some choices easier I thought I would share the Top 15 Owned and Top 15 Recently Played games (last 7 days) according to STEAM in our community.

 

Now this is only an indication based on those who have linked their forum account with their STEAM account, which is somewhere just over 200 so far. So the more people who do this, the better indication we can get as to the most popular games right now.

 

To link your STEAM Account simply click on your profile name at the top right of the forums, go down to external accounts and find Associated Steam Account: and link it.

 

So if you like playing games with those in the community, these are the games you should be looking at first. There are also games like Age of Empires II, Shellshock LIVE, Golf with your friends, that are fun cheap multiplayer games that a few of us have that don't make it on to these lists.

Share your lists of games you have purchased during the sale as well, in case there are some good games out there some don't know about. We can also discuss bundle deals such as 4 packs for those who want to get the same game. I haven't hit purchase on my current cart yet, but here it is.

And my pick-ups from the steam sale:

 

Verdun - A WW1 first-person shooter. I'd give it 7/10. Movement is very clunky and I swear the hitboxes are off but it's still loads of fun. I'm still getting the hang of it but I can see the game being in my regular rotation from now on.

 

Dead by Daylight - 1 person plays as horror movie killer while other 4 players play as the survivors. There's a lot of issues with the game, I even gave it a negative review on steam because of it (i.e. can't queue with friends, no VOIP or in-game chat, flawed ranking system, frequent disconnects and inability to find a game, needs better balancing in some areas,..) - but I'd still rate this 9/10. Trust me, get this game!

 

Mount and Blade (with all DLC), Red Orchestra 2 - Picked these up during the steam sale. I haven't really played much of them yet but you all know the games so need to hear my reviews. If you don't have either of these, get them now while they're on sale.

 

Lyne - A cheap indie puzzle game. Relaxing yet challenging. The puzzles are well thought out. I'd give it a 7/10 (it's very, very basic, but it does it right).

 

Arma 3 DLC - Get them while they're on sale. $9.99 for all DLC excluding Apex.

 

PayDay 2 - I held off on this game because of the microtransactions but that's all gone now so I decided now might be a good time to buy. The game seems OK - I haven't played enough to get a real feel for it. I might play it for a few more hours but I don't see it being a game I'll be playing regularly.

 

Will probably pick up Depth during the sale as well.

Just to state that I have played shell shock live in my normal rotation of game the last few night with a few of my mates and its been great fun, casual but competive game with lots of last round clutches it's been great would advise anyone to jump on the band wagon especially seeing it's so cheap right now <$5

 

If there was a lot of community members with this game it could be something we could look at hosting a little round robin 2v2 tournament one Sunday funday looking forward to playing with more of you
