Too wishful @wobbie you want people shitting themselves on respawn once you've shot them near their base

should be able to have the option of base respwan or chute

Not a bad idea. To be able to spawn randomly within 2.5kms of your placed tent would be fun.

@Stalkz 0.o there's no two wheel motor bikes yet mate, also.... Much to I am sure many others disgust in me saying this the .408 and Lynx as still far to common in one military base I found 3 .408 and 4 lynxs left with a lynx and 12 clips of ammo from spawn....... ?? These high powered rifles should be from drops or missions I believe simpler sniper rifles such as dmr and m24 should take their place and find their way back into people's hearts away from these high powered op rifles

Also while I enjoy a challenge I think the AI still need a slight tweak it seems every mission has become a ok I'll sit 800m away and snipe them because if I get within 500m I am dead... RIP AR's you currently have no purpose.

 

Loving the progress we have made and I think when we make the jump to a new map it's going to be a smooth transition with everything we thinks right and bring a lot more community in on those new maps.

 

Feedback I have had from a lot of people I know that play Arma is they are disinterested at this stage with altos due to its scarce buildings and environment compared to other maps.

 

I still enjoy playing on altos but am excited by the prospect of that new world feeling on another map.

agreed, altis is a poo map, but from what i gather its a good starting place to make sure everything else works fine then at a later stage think about transfering over to a good map

As for the AI, that happens on every server. I've sat within 300m of a hardcore mission and not been shot at or I'll sit 500m away from an easy mission and they'll find me quicker than I can take a shit. We started with Altis first because until Tanoa is released I don't want to start on another one until we decide 100% what we are going with. Also given me a really good gauge on what we can do config wise for the server. I also find Altis extremely bland and want to move to another ASAP.

It's so fucken dark hey? Lol @Stalkz this is a great idea but seeing torches aren't a normal spawn item in A3 I would suggest you start with a chemlight as you can throw it then pick it up and light your way with that they are an underused asset in the game and I think this aspect might bring them back into use orincrease moon brightness because at night it's so dark you can see where your running and even with cars with lights on you can't see 10feet in front of you

@Tex bikes are working properly now and status bar works again.

 

Also added 5 Chemlights to fresh respawn players. Will ask Madhouse to move the new files to server asap.

 

Will look at Loadouts over coming days, need some time off.

Now boys it's important that when you build a base you pay the weekly land tax at the terminal, unfortunately I thought snips had paid the tax last time he was on and our base has vanished, also ash I noticed yours and nemys where gone. This feature of the game allows a smoother server and for bases not to be temp built and just left.

 

Unfortunatly I sunk 20+ hours upgrading mine to be vanished which is just tough luck and miscommunication on mine and snips part

 

Wobbie your base was still there last night I urge you to pay the tax even though your base took about half hour to snap up lol

Hey mate it goes of the level of base you have you can upgrade your base 10time I believe the tax for 1st level base is 5k so only the amount of selling a random spawned vehicle throughout the week.

 

Let me know if anyone needs any resources, as my base has disappeared I have gone out on my own, happy to trade things with people or offer my services as a gun for hire if your looking to knock someone off.

yeah kk, havent really sold alot so wasnt sure you could make cash that easily. will have to go out looking for cars to pay the rent...... hahha art and life...

When I jumped o the server ( 2 days ago now) I was getting kicked randomly. No error or message, just said 'player has been kicked'

Seemed to happen randomly... I'm thinking it may be a corrupt file in the CUP files.. but was just wondering if anyone had anything similar before I downloaded them all again?

@Aeon could very well be your own files, i know alot of people have had issues with exile if they downloaded it via A3 launcher due to the fact that there are 3 exile mods available in the a3 launcher and sometimes it pops a few extra files in your folder that arent necessary.

 

I have fixed the issue for numerous players by going into your hardrive C:/D:/E which ever your steam files are located, /program files x86/steam/steamapps/common/arma3 and delete the @exile folder and replace it with the one you download from the website Official Arma 3 Exile Mod Downloads | http://www.exilemod.com/downloads/ they havent had an issue since.

 

Download from wordwide client, files are roughly 600mb so shouldnt take to long mate

anyone else had issues joining the server since the last update? i cant even get to the lobby, just says you were kicked from the server?
