I'm just wandering why the servers was changed from 72 to 62 players? Is this a Squad thing or a BigD thing, cause lately BigD has become very popular and its hard to get into servers and I think it would make such a big difference if the player total was increased like it use to be

 

If I could get some feedback on this it would be great!!

I believe it may have been lowered for performance? I think once we go over 62 players start notice jitters and lag. It may have been fixed in V6 with the new netcode, but I dont think it has.

The way squad is atm with the animation system anything over 60+ players wrecks performance (tested on my pc and a few others) @Madhouse could you plz pitch in!

I dont know if having those extra players would change the battle that much.

Yea seeding's the way to go atm, get the word out as much as you can at the time and I'm sure the boys will pitch in.

Squad servers are a fickle beast. Yes there have been performance increases in alpha 6 but a lot of that is client side.

 

Using BigD Teamspeak and getting a few guys to jump over to another server to seed yields great results and it doesn't take long for a second to fill at peak times. You can always ask an admin to change to a smaller map to begin with.
