Hello Community Members,

 

As the title of this thread suggest BigD Gaming will be running what i hope will be the first of many Rocket League seasons!

 

We are excited to expand our competitive gaming scene and look forward to seeing what new Teams/Clans we can bring into the BigD community via this avenue. If you enjoy playing rocket league and would like to enter a team in a more competitive space please seek to read the following rule set and fill out the registration form at the end of the rule set.

 

BigD Gaming Rocket League Season 1

 

Team Entry

 

Entries for each team will end at the 30/06/2016 with competition commencing the first Monday of July being the 4/07/2016. Each team is to register a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 players. Your entries will be assessed and contact made when accepted.

 

Once all teams have been registered, a home and away fixture will be created with a final series of top 4 or top 8 teams to progress after the home and away season has been finalised depending on the number of registered teams.

 

After round 3 has been completed and the ladder has begun to take shape Administrators of the league will review the current ladder each week going forward and announce a "Match of the week" in which the home team captain for that upcoming game will be required to provided the server details to the admin staff for a stream to take place for this match via the BigD Gaming twitch page.

 

Game Structure

 

• Teams will compete in a home and away season each week on Monday night all teams are required to join Team speak(ts3.bigdgaming.net) by 8.15pm Est to allow sufficient time for server details to be provided for that round.
  

• Each round will consist of a best of 3 structure with the first team to will 2 rounds claiming the win over their opposition and awarded 4 points towards their finals campaign. All 3 games must be played to ensure that a full set of data can be collected for the season stats.
  

• Teams will have the ability if they so wish to substitute players with the 2 additional registered players on the bench at the end of each game within the best of 3 their will be a 5 minute break period between each game if requested to allow toilet breaks or await the players in reserve grade (read below) to finalise their match.
  

• Home games are to be created and set up by the home side as per detailed within the season fixture and details are to be provided to the away captain by 8.30pm and no later than 8.40pm. Matches can be easily set up by creating a private match via the rocket league home interface if you require any assistance in learning how to do this please contact an admin prior to your match time.
  

• Failure to do so by the designated time will count as a forfeit, on the other hand if the away side is not ready to compete by this time it will count towards a win for the home side.
  

• After each individual game within the best of 3 the home captain is required to take a screen capture of the final scoreboard and are to be presented to the BigD Gaming Admins after their matches.
  

• These stats will be recorded after all teams have completed their games and be utilised to update the season ladder and track individual performances being Top Goal Scorer, The Wall (Most Saves) & Most Assists viewable on the BigD Gaming website.
  

At the end of the home and away season the team with the most accumulated points throughout the season will be awarded the minor premiership.

 

Reserves Grade

 

As stated previously each team can register 5 players for the 3v3 competition which allows for the additional 2 players to be called upon if one of the three selected team members for that weeks match cannot play due to life commitments or if the team captain wishes to swap out a player due to current team chemistry not working against their opposition.

 

This in retrospect is all good and well if these two players are indeed called into the 3v3 team but what happens if they are not required that week??

 

To ensure that the 1 or 2 extra players can still take place in a competitive environment and add value to their team or community a reserve grade ladder will run parallel to the senior side games as per the home and away fixture in the form of a 2v2 game or if only 1 member of a team is available a team member of the opposite team will be selected to compete in a 1v1.

 

• Home teams (per the home and away fixture) are required to set up the server and provide details to the away side prior to 8.30pm at the latest 8.40pm. The reserve home side player/s are also expected to take screen captures of their individual games within the best of three for stat tracking purposes.
  

• If no reserves are available for a team to play the team that has players readily available and willing to play will be awarded the victory for that weeks round.
  

Not only will this allow a competitive space for the 2 additional players but also allow easy monitoring for team captains to note stand out performances and allow more data for their team selection the following week.

 

 

Note that points won in reserve grade not only go towards the reserve grade ladder but at the end of the home and away season the reserve grade final points and senior grade final points will be added together to determine the "Most talented gaming community" overall showing skill across both their senior side and reserves.

 

Finals

• Finals Series for both reserve and senior grade will comprise of a best of 5 matches with details to be provided on who the home and away teams are to allow setting up of matches.
  

• Structure of the finals series will be determined by the amount of registered teams and will be announced on the 1st week of competition via forum post either a top 4 or top 8 finals series. The winner of this finals campaign will be crowned the BigD Gaming S1 Champions
  

• Dependant on the interest created and the amount of teams within the competition prizes may be awarded to the winners of both the Reserve and Senior Sides. At minimum a unique TS badge will be allocated and a custom BigD RL Stubby holder will be designed in your teams honour and presented to each player.
  

Registrations

You have until the 30/06/2016 to enter your teams, so take your time play with members of the community, scout out random players during your usual matches and get that right mix leading into the season. If you are seeking to find an extra player poke myself ([N/A] Tex) and i will try and introduce you to any members of my current playing friends list to see if we can fill that spot.

Sounds good man count me in, always up for comps!!!

Please note to anyone that has read the post prior to last night 16/06/16 that the Comp day has been shifted to Monday after discussions with we our senior admins and other gaming communities this day does not conflict with any of our other competitions and trainings and allows for those members who which to apply and play in multiple teams across different genres the ability to do so.
