BigD Movie Footage Dump

Hi All

Some of you might not be old enough to remember but in 2009 the BigD community attempted to make a Project Reality Movie. This bravely ambitious project was actually surprising effective. There was a very sizeable team of people (20+?) that turned out over at least a few sessions to get footage mostly in the acting role.

It was directed mostly by Chief Ryza and I was one of the "cameramen".

AFAIK it didn't get very far other than possibly a quick thrown together bit of footage, might be on YouTube.

I have held onto that footage, all of what I captured I think and have had it sitting around on my storage for a long time. I have been meaning to do something with it for ages. Now is the time for me to get rid of it so that it can hopefully see the light of day again and something might just come out of all the effort that was put into organising it.

I have no time or intention to edit any footage myself so I put to you the BigD community. If you have other footage available please put them online. If you have comments or memories of that event please share them.

I would love to see the footage combined with any other footage people have been working on or chopped together to make a bit of a montage.

Here are the video files, you can view them directly there and feel free to download them.

I will leave the files up there for a month or so. I'm sure I recorded it at 1080p or at least 1620x1050... It's done with fraps, the media is better resolution and quality than Google Drive presents in the viewer so download to take a better look.

Footage is still uploading, there is over 9GB in total.

There is a decent mix of maps and scenes in there just keep looking till you find something more interesting

I am still surprised by how good some of that stuff is, it took a lot of coordination.
