Today I am pleased to announce work has started on a Community Guide for Squad made by the Community for the Community.

 

For some time now I have wanted to make a set of Guides/Tutorials for the BigD Community. With help from a few other Community Members I now have the support base to start work on a number of different Guides.

 

What are the Guides going to be about?

The Squad Developers have all ready have posted videos on

and

. So with those tutorials all ready been done the Plan is to make eight videos on the different kits in the game as well as a few videos on tactics and Squad Leading.

 

How can I help?

We are looking for people to not only help with the planning of each video but to help with the filming of the videos. If you want to help vote and post up in Filthy Crabs thread here.

 

Who can I talk to about my ideas for the Guides?

Filthy Crab and I are the main organizers so you should talk to us.

 

How long do you this will take?

We are unsure it comes down to the help we get and the issues we run into.

 

As we finish the videos they will be posted both on the BigD Youtube Channel as well as here on the website. Any questions should be referred to Filthy Crab or Myself.

How'd you guys go with this?

 

I was thinking of doing an informal newbies squad tonight on one of the servers and running through a lot of stuff whilst in game.

 

This is my run-through list:

The community guide is on hold for now until the next major Squad update.

Yeah I tried saying radio in the game over the past week and it just confused other players; they thought I was talking about the squad radio communications.

 

Like others mentioned in that thread, OFFWORLD uses different naming convention in the game. It's called a FOB in the help guides and wiki, but RADIO in the SL in-game menus. They'll need to decide on one or the other and probably fix it there before it would make sense.
