So guys the moment i was waiting for, the GTX 1070 is here and for a card that will come out for possibly $500+ AUD i am extremely excited to sell my 2 970's and pick one of these up. As im only on a 1080p monitor at 144hz its probably a little overkill

Yer i know bro how good are they. I just know i will get the upgrade bug and will have to buy the 1070

My MSI 980 still has a lot of juice. I haven't even tried overclocking it yet so i can probably squeeze a little more out of it!

Likely going to be my upgrade from my ageing GTX670 OC

 

The price point between the 1070 and 1080 has me tripping. I've never been one to go for the x80 series as the x70 provide so much value for the price. Will be interesting to see how the AU retailers play this out.

I didn't go right to the end through checkout, but one of these with postage is around $1000 from Newegg in the US. $1200 here in Aus at Pc Case Gear, and the 980Ti at PCCG has dropped to a grand. Looks like I'll be shopping overseas.

yer unlucky man, however if you dont need anymore power id say the 980ti will be alright for another 2-3 years at least 1080p gaming!

same place charging $16 postage, from eBay, but it looks like the AU dollar is going up in value, so we may be better to wait
