Squad Dev Q&A Livestream

A live streamer by the name of T0pmarx did a Q&A with two of the Squad Developers this morning. That talked about a few different topics from a new faction to where the game is heading map wise. The first hour and a half is the chat with the Devs. Video is linked below so check it out.

Summary:

Factions - BAF 14 to 15 months.
Change insurgents to be less like the Talban.
Long range scopes - Engine issues and want to wait for every faction to be able to have the models for all factions.
Modding/Mapping - 2-4 weeks squad being added to epic game launcher UE4 editor.
Not doing paid DLC.
AMD fix - Working on it may be fixed now.
Port to console - Maybe have a look once the game is done.
Commander Role - It's near future but only on a design stage.
Slow walk - It was in and may come back.
Water - Now has interactive.
New animation system - Being worked on, vaulting and dragging down players.
Fix ins then move on to a sandbox type mode where teams spawn on different sides of the map but don't know where the enemy main is and let the game dynamical set different objectives.
New custom game mode made by a community member that has been but up and played in the custom server browser. As talked if custom game mode are liked by the community they will add it to the core game.
Maps - Starting on Easter European, starting to work on urban area statics will take 4 - 6 months. After that is done move on to Middle East. Confirmed they want to remake Fallujah West.
AT/AP mines and IEDs
Kit resections on vehicles. Squad leaders maybe about to spot people from taking the kits.
Tier FOBs
Muting single players and Locked Squads
UI update - Aug -Sept
Destructible environments - Not at the moment maybe after 100 players and vehicles.
100 players - Maybe closer then they think. So far testing is going well.

Watched it this morning was good, however not as much new info as i would have liked. However i do like how they are trying to speed up development they know the community is getting reckless!
