SQUAD:

Push to mute for Squad-Discord

Oftentimes you'll find yourself in Discord with the same people you have squad up with and maybe other players on a different squad but same faction as yours.

You will hear them talking via squad/local in game voice chat and at the same time through discord (very annoying!) or perhaps they are talking in game to other players and you can hear them in discord but that noise is just distracting and it has no tactical value.

If you have been a commander and squad leading you know that sometimes comms can get really hectic and trimming down the noise as much as you can it's vital to your own sanity.

The only real solution to that is incredibly simple and efficacious as long as everyone in discord does that: Key bind your IN-GAME voice chat buttons in Discord to PUSH-TO-MUTE (Default buttons are V, B, G and Numpad numbers for the sweaty out there)

When holding those buttons down you are automatically muted in Discord and back to normal as soon as the button is released. The only downside to this is that as long as you are on a voice channel in Discord, whenever pressing those key binds (whether you are writing a squad guide, an email or playing another game or writing ) a small chime will goes off.

Hope that helps!
