I'm missing something guys - what do I do with the .torrent file I've downloaded?

The PR:BF2 v1.0 Open BETA download comes in the form of an "ISO" file. In order to install it, you will need to mount it using software such as Virtual CloneDrive, extract it using software such as 7-Zip or WinRAR, or burn it to a DVD. Once you have done this, you simply run the installer it contains. Please note that the PR:BF2 v1.0 Open BETA can be installed side-by-side with PR:BF2 v0.98 and will not cause any conflict.

 

Follow those instructions mate.

He's asking how does he use a .torrent file.

 

Salty you need to load that .torrent file into a torrent program.

Yeah man, Utorrent is the way to go.

 

But beware, after you finish downloading it will start seeding (others will download parts of if from you) which is a good thing to do, but may be a bit of a shock if you have metered uploads.

 

But literally, you open the .torrent with utorrent and away it goes.

Ah yeah, it's probably best you don't seed, so make sure you delete the .torrent file from utorrent when you're done. (just right click on it)

I just right click and say finished and it stops all activity. Then I close down Utorrent until I need it next.

 

Although depending on what it is, I'll probably leave it seed for an hour or two afterwards.

If you are having any or expecting issues don't delete the torrent until you well tested it, that way if you are missing any dll files you can 're install VBF then PR.

 

But ask here first as to reinstall well it's best to assure VBF is completely removed before reinstalling.

I Prefer "extract it using software such as 7-Zip or WinRAR", No Thinking Needed And Done.

Suppose, i tried it that way.. didn't work, kept stalling during installation, so i just mounted it.

 

Can also burn it to a DVD if you're feeling a bit retro
