AsRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Motherboard $189 (Good board? or should i get a different one?)

G.SKill Repjaws F3-122800CL9D-8GBRL 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 $65

EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD SuperClocked $389

OCZ Fatal1ty Series 750W Modular $129

CoolerMaster Silencio 550 $99

OCZ Vertex 2(E Version) 60GB SSD SATA2 2.5" $99

id go with a bigger ssd if you can cause i got the same one and once you have windows on it and anything you cant change the install location on it there is no room left on it.

but youll see the speed difference especial loading the desktop and its apps. its almost instant for whats on the ssd.

i dont think the ocz power supply is that good either. i went the corsair hx 750.

good thing about corsair is that you only plug in the cable you need. so yoo dont have all these unused cables sitting in your case.

60-64Gb SSD are a good starting point if you're unsure about SSDs or the cost is a bit off putting.

You should be able to change the install directory on most things so put them on a cheaper bigger 'spinning' disk and you'll be fine.

Really the main difference you'll notice with them is load times so bootup of your OS will be hell quicker but when launching other programs may be debatable whether you notice (sure there will be a change but maybe not as huge as the boot time).

What i plan for my current rig when upgrading is keeping the 64gb as an OS/'productivity' drive, picking up a 120-256Gb drive and putting my often played games on there and any others on the 320Gb WD.

There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.

Same insides as any 2 series SSD but in a 3.5" housing. Be aware a lot of 2 series have issues but nothing show stopping. 3 series do as well but different ones.

if your looking at a 570 then maybe a 6850 is an option?

Do you multimonitor ? eyefinity is ati solution and probably your best bet. Do you 3D with glasses ? then Nvidia is your best option.
