Hey guys, had a huge storm last Saturday and it fried our modem. So got another one, different model. And now any Ethernet cable I use won't work on my pc? Works on other pc's and consoles just not mine. Anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? Nothing lights up on the back of the pc and I get the x saying no connection to Internet

Didn't blow your ethernet port too did it?

Try wifi?

Try windows trouble shooter for internet etc

Don't think my pc has a wifi thing in it? How do I check.

 

And the Ethernet port is connected to the motherboard so would I have to buy a new motherboard to fix the issue?

Yer its possible your mobo port got fried, i would try windows troubleshoot first. if theres no lights then im sorry yo say but it must have blown up, lights should be flashing if you have power at least
